Above & Alone is a dining venture by artist Emily Furneaux. 

It is a lifelong project established in 2020.

​

Emily has made a commitment (to herself) to host at least four sittings, per year, for the rest of her life.

In 2050 an archive, detailing each and every sitting,

will be published.

A & A usually takes place in Emily's home

(sometimes it is taken outdoors).

She has six matching chairs -

so she only hosts six people at a time.

 Diners are encouraged to come alone - to dine with strangers.

If you don't feel comfortable doing this you can book a pair of chairs - 

A & A wants everyone to feel comfortable.

Exact location details will be posted to your home address

a week prior to your booking. 

​

All food is prepared in a home kitchen environment following the Food Standards Agency's guidelines on working with food.

At this stage A & A cannot accommodate those with nut allergies

or gluten free diners.

Please consider your commitment to your booking before placing it -

Emily plays host, chef, waitress, KP, communications manager & restaurant manager - it can become a logistical headache.
